About this coloring page
One very well-read dragon has taken over this library, and the librarians have clearly decided to allow it. It sits curled on the checkerboard floor with a book open between its claws, scales layered like roof tiles from snout to tail. Shelves climb past a rose window toward the vaulted ceiling. Ladders lean where they were last used. Around the tail you'll find hourglasses and globes, a bucket of scrolls, skeleton keys dropped on the tiles, and one small locked chest.
Scale-by-scale coloring sounds slow because it is, but these scales are drawn generously and a medium pencil point handles them fine. Silvery lilac scales would be a quiet surprise, and emerald with a gold belly keeps the old stories happy. Either way, keep the books in muted spice tones so the dragon owns the room.
