Somewhere in this city a clock is ticking. Look right of the shell-domed palace and you'll find a coral clock tower with its hands frozen mid-swim, which tells you plenty about the humor in this drawing. A sea turtle sails over the spires. Two manta rays glide past while three seahorses hover in the kelp. An octopus lounges along the right edge. Down front, a treasure chest spills strands of pearls beside a giant clam cradling one enormous pearl of its own.
Fair warning on difficulty. The architecture is packed and most regions run small, so fine tips or well-sharpened pencils are the sane choice. Coral pinks and sandy golds on the buildings leave the saturated colors to the animals. Budget more than one sitting, and print at full size so the tower windows keep their edges.
