Count the rolls on the plate and you should land on seven, including one show-off tipped on its side up front. Each roll has a speckled seaweed wrap and different filling shapes in the cut face, so no roll has to match its neighbor. Keep the wraps deep green or nearly black, make one center salmon orange and the next shrimp pink, then see what the colorer invents for the remaining five. Colored pencils sharpened to a real point are the right call for those small middles. It also works as a lunch-table opener about who has actually tried sushi.
