About this coloring page
What a tail. Feathers fan out behind this turkey in three stacked arcs, every segment a separate closed region, which adds up to a lot of tidy shapes waiting on a color. The bird himself has big friendly eyes and a dangling wattle, with rows of small scalloped feathers down his chest. Maple and oak leaves drift around the border, seven or eight of them depending how you count the corners.
Work the tail like a rainbow if you want maximum celebration, or keep it autumn-honest with rusts and ambers shading toward brown. The leaf border is a good spot to practice two-tone coloring, since real fall leaves are never one flat color. Plan on a solid forty-five minutes for a careful job. It's the kind of page that keeps kids busy while the kitchen gets loud.
