His scarf is doing its own thing, flying sideways in two striped tails as if the wind just picked up. The knit hat is striped too, right up to the pompom, and the carrot nose has real texture lines carved into it. Four snowflakes hang in the air around him, each a different size, and a small pine tree waits off to the right.
Snow pages sound like they'd end up mostly white, and then the accessories save the day. Try cranberry red with forest green on the stripes, or surprise everybody with teal and purple. Snowflakes look sharp left white against a pale blue sky. Younger colorers manage the big round body sections easily, while the stripes are where careful hands get to show off. And the pompom deserves a color nobody expects.
