About this coloring page
Motion streaks trail off the bat, frozen at the top of a big swing while the ball rockets away. Below all that action sits a bird's-eye view of the diamond, with the pitcher's mound at its center and foul lines running off to the corners. So this page asks for steadier hands than most of the sports set. The bat is skinny, the streak lines are skinnier, and both will escape a fat crayon tip, at least for younger kids.
Colored pencils behave best here. Go tan or red-brown on the bat and keep the outfield a deep, calm green. Warm dirt tones around the mound finish the infield, and leaving the streaks uncolored keeps the sense of speed.
