About this coloring page
Steam pours from the funnel in one enormous billowing puff, nearly as big as the engine itself. Below it sits everything a proper locomotive needs, a boiler and steam dome up front, a two-pane cab window, a cowcatcher raked forward at the nose, and a connecting rod linking the big driving wheel to its smaller partners. Chugga-chugga is basically written into the linework.
A deep green boiler with red wheels feels friendlier than traditional black, and it shows off the rod detail better. Wheels here come in nested pairs with hub dots, good practice for steering a crayon around curves without a death grip. The track ties line up along the bottom edge, a tidy warm-up row before anyone tackles the engine. Patient five-year-olds can pull it off, at least most of the time.
