About this coloring page
Overlapping scallops fill the body of each mitten, a pattern somewhere between fish scales and roof shingles, while the ribbed cuffs sit ready for candy striping. Six snowflakes drift around the pair, and a few carry a soft stippled texture that comes out looking almost frosted on paper. Winter, but make it cozy.
Because the scallop regions are small and plentiful, patient hands with fine-tip markers will have the best time here. Most kids under six will happily scribble straight across the pattern, which honestly looks great too. Try two shades of one color alternating through the scales for a knitted effect, then burnish the cuffs until they look properly woolly. Cocoa afterward is optional but strongly correlated with finishing.
