A butterfly has landed square on this fox's nose, and the fox is handling it with remarkable patience. Daisies crowd in from both sides and tufts of grass fill the low corners. The tail sweeps around in front, a wavy line showing where the pale tip starts. Most regions are a comfortable size for grade-schoolers. The butterfly is the exception. Its wings are split into little cells with dots inside, so hand that part to whoever owns the fine-tip markers.
Rusty orange for the fox, cream for the chest and the very end of that tail. Then something loud for the butterfly so it earns the fox's attention. And the grass tufts are a fine warm-up before anyone attempts those wings.
