About this coloring page
Right at the edge of a mud puddle, one very happy piglet is caught mid-celebration. The splash gets star billing, a big crown of mud with droplets flying in every direction, and a curved plank fence bends around behind him, each board flecked with dots of wood grain. One front trotter is up in the air, which is the pig version of a high five.
Mud turns out to be a sneaky little art lesson. Layer brown over gray, or ring the puddle with darker circles toward the center, and the whole thing starts to look convincingly wet. The fence boards are wide enough for crayons while the flying droplets want a fine tip. Pink pig, obviously, though nobody will stop you from adding spots. Fifteen minutes for most kids, and the giggling comes free.
