About this coloring page
Even robots have to walk the dog. A big rounded robot strolls along tiled pavement, leash in hand, while a little mechanical pup trots ahead on a spring tail, goggle rings around its eyes. Three clouds drift overhead to keep things from feeling too industrial. Both characters are built from riveted panels and striped joints, so it's satisfying to color them machine-style, one section at a time. A two-metal scheme looks sharp, copper for the pup and steel blue for the big fellow, with one bright color saved for the leash. Mid-size closed regions throughout, so markers behave well here. And the naming conversation matters. A robot dog needs something like Bolt or Sprocket, and kids have strong feelings about which.
