Use warm gray or tan on the buildings, then choose a brighter robe color near the center so the figures don't disappear into the stonework. Read the selected verses before coloring, then ask children what changes during the passage. Older students might retell the scene from the seated man's point of view. A younger child can draw one kind action on the back.
