About this coloring page
Poised is the word. An upright cat with natural proportions stares straight ahead, fur direction marked in short dashed strokes across the chest and legs. Big poppy-style blooms rise on either side over wide fanned leaves, and a few pebbles rest in the dirt near her paws.
Older kids and adults will get the most out of it. Colored pencils shine here, since you can layer short strokes right over the printed fur marks and build a coat that looks brushed. Work light to dark, then burnish the smooth areas for sheen. Nothing about the drawing is fussy, but flat marker fills would waste the texture. Print the PDF at full US Letter size so those dashes stay crisp.
