About this coloring page
Like four ladders pinwheeling in the sky, the blades of this windmill cross over a banded tower with a little arched doorway and two small windows. Rolling hills swoop behind it in long curved swaths, and a rail fence runs the full width of the foreground with grass at every post. Two tidy clouds. That's the whole sky.
Those segmented blades beg for alternating colors. Cream and rust make a vintage pair, or work through an entire rainbow one little square at a time. The hills read best in a couple of greens with the darkest at the front. Big regions and long straight lines make this an easy afternoon for grade-schoolers, and it colors well in the browser too if you want to test a palette first.
