About this coloring page
Stained glass with wings. Striped panels run through all four sections of this butterfly, upper and lower, and each narrow segment is its own little region to fill. Below, a cluster of blooms waits its turn: one wide five-petal flower front and center with two daisies tucked behind, plus broad leaves fanning out in every direction.
Symmetry is the quiet challenge. Matching the left wing to the right takes planning, and older kids tend to love that puzzle while younger ones happily ignore it. Both approaches produce a great butterfly. Fine-tip markers handle those narrow wing segments best, though pencils will give you smoother blends. Monarch orange with black edging is the classic move. Or invent a species no scientist has ever seen. The leaf veins reward two greens, a light body with darker lines.
