About this coloring page

Tilted at its classic working angle, the eyepiece on this microscope points exactly where a curious eye would go. Below the lenses, a small round mirror sits under the stage, and a sturdy four-legged table holds the whole instrument up.

The base and body tube fill in big sealed shapes, so chunky crayons won't wander much, and most six-year-olds can finish without help. Classic lab colors work, a black arm and a silver body tube up top, then warm wood brown for the table and a soft gray for the base. And once the crayons are out, ask what they'd examine first under real magnification. Pond water is the usual winner, at least in my experience.
