About this coloring page
Tall panels split the one giant square sail, which takes up nearly a third of the scene and is built for stripes. Below it, the hull carries four portholes and long plank lines, while the prow curls up like the toe of a boot. Off to the right, a single palm tree marks the island. And the foreground waves roll in big theatrical curls.
Heavy outlines and large regions make it a strong first pirate page. Crayons handle everything here with room to spare. Layer two blues through the waves and leave the foam white for a storybook look. Save the curling prow for last. That boot-toe shape deserves a color nobody else on the page is wearing.
