About this coloring page
Solar wings stretch wide from both sides of this satellite, each one split into a tidy grid of cells. A dish antenna tips off the top, and a single porthole dots the boxy body at the center.. Behind it all, Earth rolls past with recognizable continents, and twinkle stars frame the orbit.
Grid cells are the quiet stars of the page. Fill them in alternating deep blues, the way true photovoltaic panels look, and the drawing suddenly reads as convincingly real. Earth underneath wants green and blue with plenty left over for ocean. For the curious, thousands of working satellites are circling overhead right now, and some show up at dusk as slow-moving dots. Try spotting one after sunset.
