Set up a page-sized canvas
Start with US Letter or A4, depending on the audience, and leave a comfortable margin around the edges. A white background makes the result easier to inspect. Keep the main subject large enough that the smallest regions will still be useful after printing.
Use lines, not gray decoration
Search for outline or line-art elements, or upload artwork you have permission to use. Remove color fills and background textures, then check that neighboring shapes have clear boundaries. A page can look fine on screen but become faint when printed, so preview it at full size.
Export and test the result
Use PDF Print for a paper-first file or a high-resolution PNG for digital use. Print one copy, check margins and line weight, and keep the editable source file. Canva elements have license restrictions, so verify the terms before selling or redistributing a page. Our printing guide covers the final paper checks.
