About this coloring page
Nothing on a carnation sits still, and this one is a single big pom-pom of frilled, notched petal clusters, drawn with vein lines that show which way to pull your pencil strokes. Two long leaves swoop from the base like wings while the stem drops straight down between them. Real carnations earn those jagged edges naturally, and the botanical term for it, pinked, shares a root with pinking shears. Ruby red and soft peach both suit it, and dragging color along the printed veins gives the frills instant texture. An easy page that ends up looking harder than it was, which is the best kind.
