About this coloring page
Perched on a little four-legged stool, this potted orchid looks lifted straight off somebody's kitchen windowsill. A small spray of blooms arches over a fan of wide, strappy leaves, and each flower has the rounded overlapping petals of a phalaenopsis, the moth orchid from every grocery store flower aisle.
So the palette question gets fun. Real moth orchids come in white, purple, spotted pink, even pale green, which means no color choice here can be called wrong. Layer two greens on the leaves for depth. Big closed regions keep frustration low for younger colorers, though the small lip at each bloom's center rewards a steady hand. Printed at US Letter, the stool comes out close to dollhouse scale, if anyone at your table tracks that sort of thing.
