Petals pile up in loose ruffled rings at the heart of this peony, and they keep folding all the way down to a crinkled center. A collar of broad, veined leaves splays out beneath the bloom. Peonies are what florists call double flowers, and the line art takes that seriously, crimping every petal edge back on itself, ring after ring.
Take the middle slowly. Each ruffle is its own closed region, so a gradient from blush at the outer petals to deep rose at the core is very doable, and worth the patience. Colored pencils beat markers once the regions shrink near the center. But the leaves are pure relaxation, big and open, so a younger kid can own them while somebody older fusses over the ruffles. Prints clean on US Letter.
